Phil Mills' role in guiding Petter Solberg's WRC efforts has been recognised by the Norwegian Automobile Sport Federation who last week presented him with a special award and honorary membership at their annual awards ceremony.

While Petter was busy on a promotional tour of Japan, Phil travelled to Oslo on Friday for a busy day of interviews and personal appearances before he and his partner Helen joined more than 430 people for the gala dinner that night

Earlier in the day Phil visited the offices of VG, Norway's largest newspaper, for a live web-chat with readers before more interviews and lunch with key members of the Norwegian media. In the afternoon he was a guest speaker at a meeting of the Norwegian co-drivers' association.

"Petter and I have so many supporters here in Norway so it is very special for me to be here." Phil said. "I really appreciate being invited to this prize giving party, and I'm very proud to have been made an honorary member of the Norwegian Rally Drivers Club. It has been a very busy but very interesting day."
