One week after the finish of the Acropolis Rally eight Subaru World Rally Team technicians spent two days practising procedures used in the WRC service park. Simon Baker, number one technician on Chris Atkinson's car, organised a training programme that included changing gearboxes, damper settings, uprights and steering racks. As our exclusive photos show, it was a carefully orchestrated affair.

Working in a mock service area constructed in the truck compound at the team's HQ, each technician was given a corner of the car and a task to complete within a target time. Changing a complete suspension upright was allocated a time of eight minutes - although one technician did the job in just four minutes 32secs.
"Regular team training keeps us sharp, alert and ready to act instinctively, and that's vital in the WRC where every second counts," said Baker.
"We hold practice sessions throughout the season to keep us on top of our game. Our next training day will take place after Finland when we'll run thorough some of the procedures we expect to tackle in the tough, hot conditions of Cyprus and Turkey."
