With the season over, a reflective look finds many positive moments from Subaru Rally Team USA. Mark Lovell's back to back victories at Pike's Peak and Maine, Ramana Lagemann's rookie year with Subaru and his subsequent podium finishes, culminating with today's second place overall here in Michigan. Congratulations also goes to Steve Turvey for taking the 2002 Overall Co-Driver Championship, his first ever. To you Mr. Turvey; Cheers!
Today's action started with a parc ferme at the world's largest steam hoist, a mine just north of Houghton. The cars were on display for fans and media to pour over. It was a lively event, and everyone was eager for the real action to begin. Lagemann and Kidd were third on the road, despite their second overall standing, and never lost a beat. They maintained the position all day with strong driving. Ramana is beginning to look like a seasoned pro, and has gained much respect on the circuit. He is sure to be a top fighter in US Rallying for years to come.
