This is the good news for Subaru Italia. And also the performances of all IMPREZA's drivers in the Costa Smeralda Rally.
But there are a couple of pities. The race's result says that Paolo Andreucci is the new Italian Rally Champion. And, mainly, the SUBARU drivers have leaded the race from the start until the last SS. The IMPREZAs with the Pirelli's tyres were the fastest.
But they haven't won. Piero Longhi was the first rally leader: from SS1 and SS2. Than he was overtaken by his fellow Alessandro Perico (very fast until the his stop), but just for SS3. Longhi remained at the top until the third SS of the second leg, than a puncture delayed him. But the new rally leader was Andrea Aghini. But in the last SS a stone destroyed a brake tube!
The Costa Smeralda Rally was the last race of the successful 2006 SUBARU IMPREZA Cup. The crew Catania-Valmassoi was the race's winner. Alan Scorcioni was already the final champion. Now the bast drivers will race in the Bologna Motorshow.
