As usual the Rally Sanremo 2006 has given some season's title to SUBARU. After the Italian Championship for Under 25 drivers winned by Denis Colombini (7th overall here) at the San Martino Rally, Patrizia Sciascia - photo - has catched the women title (codriver Samantha De Colle) for the second year in a row.

And now SUBARU is really close to the Italian Rally Champion title for Gr.N Constructors. Thanks to a really pushing race of Andrea Aghini (2nd overall at the end but leader of rally for the first half untill a tyre problem) SUBARU has now 8 points more than Mitsubishi. That can become 10 if will be confirmed by the Sporting Court the 1' penalty for Travaglia (currently 3rd overall in front of Longhi).

The Sanremo's race has lost the entire first leg, cancelled for decision of the State Authority for the really hard rain that caused the overflow of some rivers) but with a regulation stratagem total points (instead of 50 percent) were assigned. This is a wrong decision for the Longhi's possibilities to confirm his italian title in the season 2006.

"It's a really unfair decision - said Piero Longhi - But I will continue finding the title. First of all I shall try to win the last to rounds of the Championship, and that we can make the counts..."
