The sixth rally in the championship took place on September 9th in the region of the city of Larvik - situated in the southeast of Norway. This is the only tarmac rally in the Norwegian championship and consisted of 5 special stages - all run twice - totaling 105km.

After a very good performance of the SUBARU youngsters Mads Østberg and Anders Grøndal in the previous round, they both had high expectations in this rally. Both Anders with co-driver Trond Inge Østbye and Mads with co-driver Ragnar Engen, were among the top four the whole rally, but they had both an incident during the rally. Anders went off the road on SS5 and lost some time - and may be the victory.

There was no severe damage to his car, so he could continue the rally. Mads was trying very hard to improve his fourth position, but on SS8 he rolled. However, he managed to finish the stage and on the following service the car was fixed. Anders won 5 of the stages and ended as second. Mads had won SS5 and SS7, and kept his 4th position to the finish. He is still second in the championship before the last round.

In the N4 class, the reining champion Eivind Steffensen ended the rally down in ninth place, but he is still in third place and also leading the Subaru Rallycup 2006.

The last round of the Norwegian Championship - Rally Hedmark - will take place on September 23rd.
